Easter Project

This basket is one of the things we are doing at this weeks class. I made this one for Jouette and I still need to make one for each of the boys. I really am in love with these colors.

These next few cards are what I am planning on sending as my yearly cards this year. For my class they can select two of them to make with the basket. I am still working on the last small project for this weeks class. I will post pictures when it is done:)

Halloween Accordion book

So here is the Halloween book I made. I am completely in love with it, but then I would say Halloween is my favorite holiday! I think we will definately be making these again next October for my card class!

Valentine's accordion book

Sorry these are not in order but my Internet has been patchy and I don't want to risk having to start all over just to put the picture in order. I know Valentines is over but I made this book last week and finished putting it together this week. I have a Halloween one I made the week before that I will post as soon as I can. I am thinking about doing a Easter one too. Guess I will see how much time I end of having. Thanks for looking!

Apple Fritters

Two weeks ago Bhavik and I were learning about the letter A so I decided to have us make some apple fritters since apples were something we were talking about. I looked at a few different recipes but this is the one I chose to make. They were very yummy and they only made a few so they were quickly consumed and I didn't feel like the kids had too many. Since I try to stay away from eating too many fried foods. They come together quickly and so you can decide to make them and be eating them in 30 mins or less;) Here is the recipe:

Dijon Chicken with Couscous

I made this dish for dinner a few weeks back and I just havn't had time to get it put on here. The sauce was very yummy but not over powering. I thought the chicken was tender and I enjoy having couscous from time to time. It is a very simple meal and I rounded it out with a garden salad. Here is the recipe if you want to try it out!

Gooey Butter Cakes

I went to a lunch bunch this last fall and a lady brought these yummy bar like cookies. She told me they are a Paula Deen recipe. You can do a search for it online and it will bring up lots of recipes that are really about the same. But here is the recipe my friend gave me.

Cake:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 egg

1/2 c. butter melted

Filling:

1 (8oz) pkg. Cream cheese, softened

2 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

2 c. powdered sugar

1/2 c. butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 pan.

With an electric mixer, combine cake mix, egg and melted butter. Pat into prepared pan and set aside.

Still using electric mixer, beat cream cheese until smooth, add eggs and vanilla. Dump in powdered sugar and beat well. Reduce speed of mixer and slowly pour in the melted butter. Pour filling onto cake mixture and spread evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check often since oven temperatures vary. Cool completely and enjoy!

I'm so Lucky
